Privacy notice
MySVS handles personal data on behalf of Malaysian educational institutions. This notice explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
What we collect
Profile (name, email), application form data (nationality, passport number, date of birth, free-text notes), uploaded documents (passport, transcript, photo, financial proof, vaccination certificate, offer letter), guardian relationships, audit log of state changes, in-app and email notifications.
Purpose
Administering your student visa application: submission to the institution, document verification by visa officers, final decision by senior officers, and visa issuance by government immigration officers.
Your rights
You can export your data at any time, request account deletion (30-day grace period), and request correction of inaccurate data. The audit log is retained per regulatory requirement and is not deleted.
Retention
Application data is retained for 7 years after final decision per Malaysian education regulator requirements. Documents are stored encrypted in Malaysia (MIMOS data centre).
